Prof. Rizia Bardhan's laboratory in the ISU Nanovaccine Institute is accepting applications for an ambitious and result-oriented postdoctoral associate, funded through NIH, in cancer immunotherapies and diagnostics with nanoparticle probes. The individual will design (1) nanoparticles that enable multimodal imaging with PET and Raman spectroscopy, (2) can deliver combinatorial immunotherapies, and (3) perform label-free Raman in cells, tissues, and biofluids and apply some machine learning approaches to assess the outcomes. The individual will work with various mouse models. The work will be performed in state-of-the-art labs with advanced equipment.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship.
Ph.D. in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or relevant field
Expertise in gold nanoparticle synthesis, liposomes, bioconjugation of nanoparticles
Experience in mammalian cell culture, various mouse models of cancer
Experience in imaging techniques such as fluorescence, Raman, medical imaging (MRI, PET etc.) as evidenced by a strong track record of high quality publications in high impact journals
Experience with basic biological techniques including flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry
Experience in immunotherapies
