We are looking for an experienced Public Relations Specialist to join our team on a contract basis for one month. This role requires a skilled communicator who can deliver high-quality media kits and external communications materials to support executive visibility and global press engagement. The position is based in Washington, District of Columbia, and involves collaborating closely with our Media Relations team to ensure consistency and alignment across all deliverables.

Responsibilities:
• Develop comprehensive media kits and speaker engagement proposals for senior executives, including bios, talking points, organizational statistics, and brand assets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all external communications maintain strategic alignment and consistency.
• Monitor global media coverage using tools such as Google News and Muck Rack, analyzing trends and sentiment to generate actionable insights.
• Prepare detailed reports summarizing earned media impact and providing recommendations for future engagement.
• Organize and manage strategic media assets, ensuring accessibility and well-presented materials.
• Create high-quality external communications materials tailored to the needs of global press and event organizers.
• Track and document past executive speaking engagements and press coverage to support visibility efforts.
• Maintain and update media lists to ensure accurate and efficient outreach.
• Work independently under tight deadlines while managing multiple high-priority tasks.• At least 3 years of experience in communications, media relations, or public relations roles, ideally in corporate, agency, or nonprofit settings.
• Proven expertise in supporting executive visibility, speaker placements, and media engagement at a senior level.
• Strong writing and editing skills, with a focus on maintaining a detail-oriented tone and brand consistency.
• Proficiency in media monitoring tools such as Muck Rack, along with Excel and other asset management systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with global health or international development sectors is preferred but not mandatory.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in creating visually appealing presentation materials.
• Experience in campaign planning, media pitching, and developing press releases and media kits.
