Regional Property Manager - Responsibilities

The Regional Property Manager’s primary duties are to ensure the day-to-day implementation of policies, procedures, and programs guaranteeing a well-managed and maintained building, with maximum emphasis on positive responses to the needs of the residents, environmental health and safety, and quality programs, in accordance with the CRM and the owner’s goals.

  • Responsible for day-to-day operational management of all aspects of the properties and teams including annual operating budgets and sales/marketing plans.
  • Maintain compliance and regulatory programs and all resident files through funding programs (i.e., HUD, LIHTC, RD), site and regulatory inspections, budgeting, training and personnel development, public relations, statistical analysis, resident relations, operational management, and contract services administration.
  • Prepare energy Conservation Plans with NYSERDA for submission to appropriate agencies.
  • Meet with REAC, DHCR, HUD, Investors, and Auditors to conduct tours and property audits.
  • Ensure each property office is performing daily/monthly duties and are processing on time (i.e., Recertifications, Vouchers, EIV).
  • Hire, separate, train, motivate, and supervise on-site office staff.

Regional Property - Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree required.
  • 7+ years of Affordable Property management experience required.
  • 5 years of leadership and supervisory experience required.
  • Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) required.
  • C3P, Tax Credit, and LIHTC certifications.
  • STAR certification (if applicable).
  • Tax Credit and Section 8 experience.
  • Ability to travel 75% of the time required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, people, management, and organizational skills.
  • Must have excellent computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
