Job Duration: 6 Months Contract
Job Description:
- This position is in search of a skilled Part 107 certified operator with extensive experience operating drones via Remote Control.
- The qualified candidate will act as an operations specialist assisting in the development and test of cutting-edge safety-related technologies.
- The role includes mission planning and lightweight maintenance duties.
- The candidate should demonstrate attention to detail, a safety-oriented attitude, flexibility, and enthusiasm for cutting-edge technology.
- This individual will also conduct limited operation readiness activities and logistics planning as needed.
- The role will also require cross-team training to support teams such as (but not limited to) delivery sites for pre-launch tasks.
- The candidate will join a Research and Development team working on inventing and developing new transformative experiences.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of Remote-Control pilot experience with excellent coordination and execution.
- Employees must, with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to lift up to 50 pounds on some occasions, stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours (with breaks), and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Work in volatile weather conditions (heat, rain, wind, snow) all within the established safety thresholds.
- Drive to offsite work locations daily (work vehicle will be provided).
- Work variable shifts and schedules including weekends when applicable.
- Overtime may be required and approved based on work assignment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with the commercial UAS industry.
- Aviation safety experience as a Safety Officer or similar.
Degree or Certification:
- Bachelor’s (preferred, but not required).
Must-have hard skills:
- Experience in commercial drone piloting (bigger commercial drones).
- Flexibility and adaptability – schedules and paths changing.
