About AnthroMed Education:  AnthroMed Education, a Chicago-based therapy organization, is dedicated to transforming the field of Social Work. We enhance the experiences of both students and social workers through our commitment to collaboration, resources, and support. With partnerships in over 100 schools across the Chicagoland area, we are seeking to bring another passionate Social Worker onto our team for an exciting role in Oak Forest for the upcoming school year.

Role Highlights:

• Dynamic Therapeutic Environment: Work in a K-12th grade Therapeutic Day School, focusing primarily on K-6th grade students.
• Collaborative and Supportive Team: Join a team of 9 other social workers and work closely with teachers and related service providers.
• Hands-On Therapy: Provide daily social work services to students with high IEP minutes, immersing yourself in classrooms and offering both proactive and crisis intervention support.
• Caseload: Support a caseload of 8-16 students, all of whom have IEPs and receive significant therapy minutes.
• Schedule: Start at 8:15 AM, with planning time or scheduled activities from 8:15 AM - 9:15 AM before students arrive.

Responsibilities:

• Provide social work services in a therapeutic school setting, supporting students' academic and social skills.
• Utilize positive behavior supports and individualized instruction to address students' needs.
• Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans to address social and emotional needs.
• Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support student success.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided.
• Engage in professional development and training, particularly in crisis and behavior management.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Master's (MSW) or Doctoral degree in Social Work.
• IL PEL with an endorsement in Social Work.
• Experience in a school setting is preferred, but a passion for making a difference is essential.
