As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment within a dynamic retail location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help prevent potential issues, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. You will interact with employees, visitors, and customers, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. This position requires you to carry a firearm as part of your duties, and you will be expected to act with professionalism and integrity in every situation. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeThur05:30 AM - 02:00 PMSun05:30 AM - 02:30 PM What You’ll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate de-escalation techniques as needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activity. Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential disturbances and provide assistance to customers and staff as needed. Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or hazards according to Allied Universal and client protocols. Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when required by site-specific procedures. What We’re Looking For: Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: CPR and First Aid certification is preferred. Must have a valid Drivers License for more than 1 year Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
