Primary ResponsibilitiesHDR is looking for a senior-level GIS Analyst with a solid understanding of GIS expertise with Esri software and the ability to combine science, aesthetics, data, and cartography to communicate spatial information effectively. Duties include working in a professional environment with a team of other GIS professionals, engineers, environmental scientists and planners. The ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with remote team members and with individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds, both technical and non-technical, is required. We are interested in someone who is passionate, self-motivated, and has a strong desire to research, learn and grow as a GIS professional; someone who can appropriately apply technology to solve problems and provide services to our clients. Successful candidates will be able to develop database schemas and analysis methods needed to support project goals and efficiently use web resources to research and problem solve. Our projects include geospatial solutions for desktop, web, and the role of Senior GIS Analyst, we'll count on you to:Independently organize and conduct large, complex GIS analysis projects as Project Manager or GIS technical team leader.Work with project teams and clients to design and effectively employ GIS on regulatory and permitting elements of infrastructure projects.Create maps, databases and other deliverables on short notice.Develop vector and raster spatial analysis models using Spatial ModelBuilder, Python or other GIS scripting languages.Develop geodatabase schemas and analysis methods needed to support project goals.Configure, develop and support web GIS applications using Esri Web App Builder, Story Maps, Collector, Survey 123 and other offerings within ArcGIS Online municate and collaborate with remote team members and individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds, both technical and non-technical.Serve as GIS lead for project marketing, budget development and resource schedulingPrepare quality assurance plans for GIS tasks and oversee their implementationSupervise other GIS professionals and ensure successful completion of GIS projects or GIS tasksPerform other duties as needed. LI-MB1QualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Geography, Planning, Engineering, Natural Sciences or closely related field.Minimum 10 years of practical GIS experience; an advanced degree in relevant field may offset 5 years of experience.Proficient in use of ArcGIS and ArcGIS extensions (3D Analyst, Spatial Analyst, Publisher, etc.).Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to write reports that summarize spatial analyses and communicate findings with charts, tables and narrative.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.GISP, AICP, PE or other professional certification a plus.Ability to serve as a GIS project leader including development of technical approach, scheduling, and quality assurance.Experience in remote sensing,...
