Role: GIS Software Developer Duration: 6 months Contract to Hire Address: 214 N Hogan St Fl 8, Jacksonville, Florida, 32202 Remote Capabilities (Y/N): Y- 2 days remote per week, rest days needs to be onsite Interview Process: Phone interview with manager, onsite/virtual technical interview, third formal interview What are the top 3 MUST-HAVE technologies or Required experience for the position? - 6 years of GIS development experience- ESRI ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, and ArcSDE
- Javascript- 6 years experience here as well
- .NET (can be intermediate level- would have to be very strong in everything else)
- Good communication skills- team player
NICE TO HAVES (OR WHAT GETS THE WIN) - Experience leading and mentoring other developers
About Project Had 2 people retire recently. Both people had been there for 20+ years and left to do something "fun". 3 major types of tasks. They have about 50 applications roughly that this team develops and maintains. Web applications. This person will have a portion of those applications that they are responsible for maintaining. There will also be new projects that come down the pipe- developing new applications.
Bringing an old application up to present in. NET.
Agile approach.
Responsible for break fixes.
The
team size is 8 people. 5 of them are GIS specialists (not developers). This person will still be working alongside the specialists. One other senior developer, a junior developer, and a systems administrator.
Monitoring the work of others and supervising if needed.
