Our challenge

We are seeking a skilled Senior React Developer with a strong background in Java to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building user-friendly applications and a solid understanding of both front-end and back-end technologies.

Additional Information

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $110K - $120k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

React Development:

  1. Design and develop responsive web applications using React.js.
  2. Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement modern user interfaces.
  3. Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  4. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
  5. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Java Development:

  1. Develop and maintain back-end services using Java and related frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate).
  2. Implement RESTful APIs for seamless integration between front-end and back-end systems.
  3. Collaborate with database administrators to design and maintain database schemas.
  4. Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure optimal performance.

Requirements:

You are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10 to 12 years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on front-end technologies (React.js) and back-end (Java).
  • Proven experience as a React Developer with a strong portfolio of projects.
  • Proficiency in Java and experience with Java frameworks (e.g., Spring, Java EE).
  • Understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Knowledge of database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

It would be great if you also had:

  • Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker).
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with unit testing and test-driven development (TDD).
