Job Summary:

We're looking for a highly skilled Manager of SEO Strategy, to lead our organic search initiatives. You'll be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive SEO strategy with specific focus on local and AI Search. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, content strategy, and people leadership. You'll be a key player in cross-functional collaboration, working closely with marketing, product, and engineering teams to ensure our SEO efforts are fully integrated and aligned with business goals.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Development: Develop, execute, and manage a comprehensive SEO strategy covering technical, local, on-page, and off-page initiatives to drive organic traffic and conversions.

  • Local SEO: Lead the development and execution of our local SEO strategy. This includes managing Google Business Profile listings for all locations, building and monitoring local citations, optimizing for local search queries, and driving a consistent local search presence.

  • AI Search: Create and execute a forward-thinking strategy for optimizing content and websites for AI-powered search engines, conversational interfaces, and large language models (LLMs).

  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop content specialist, guiding their professional growth and overseeing their day-to-day tasks.

  • International SEO: Lead the development and execution of our international SEO strategy. This includes managing multi-regional targeting, overseeing content localization and translation efforts, and ensuring our websites are optimized for a global audience across different languages and regions.

  • Vendor and Partner Management: Manage and oversee relationships with external vendors, agencies, and tools. This includes negotiating contracts, monitoring performance against KPIs, and ensuring a high return on investment.

  • Technical SEO: Conduct regular site audits to identify and resolve technical SEO issues related to site architecture, crawlability, indexation, and site speed in collaboration with website team.

  • Content Collaboration: Partner with business unit marketing directors to develop and execute a content strategy that identifies opportunities and drives the creation of high-quality, SEO-optimized content.

  • Competitive Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, algorithm updates, and competitor SEO strategies to ensure our tactics remain ahead of the curve.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Present SEO performance, insights, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to create a long-term vision and translate it into a clear, actionable SEO roadmap.

  • Technical Proficiency: A deep understanding of technical SEO principles, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and their impact on search engine performance.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex data sets, identify key trends, and make data-driven decisions.

  • Leadership & Mentorship: Excellent leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to manage, motivate, and mentor team members.

  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex SEO concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Tool Expertise: High proficiency with leading SEO and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, Yext).

  • Problem-Solving: Proactive and creative problem-solver with a knack for identifying and resolving SEO challenges.

Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in SEO, with at least 2 years in leadership or management capacity.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.

  • Certifications in Google Analytics, Google Ads, or other relevant digital marketing platforms are a plus.

  • Experience working in a B2B SaaS, e-commerce, or similar fast-paced digital environment.

  • Experience with Python or other scripting languages for data analysis and automation is a plus.
