Requirements - Design, develop and support software applications.
- Implement code, in accordance with best practices and coding guidelines.
- Research and stay abreast of current technology trends, functionality and implementation relevant to the corporate applications and technology.
- Gain and maintain a thorough understanding of insurance business functions.
- Identify and reduce development risks, performance problems and downtime.
- Maintain a high level of customer support.
- Performs other related duties assigned.
- Ability to interact with others in a professional manner.
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate must have either a BS Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
- Solid knowledge with web and Windows application development, database development/design and design of complex multi-tier applications.
- Ability to quickly learn architecture and code of existing applications.
- Experience and/or desire to convert legacy applications to a new technology and architecture is a plus.
- 3-years with .Net, ASP.Net, ADO.NET, C#, XML, JavaScript/JQuery,
- Experience with Entity Framework and MVC ideal,
- 3-years with SQL Server including stored procedures, functions and schema design,
- Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS), BizTalk, IIS, Adobe Live Cycle Designer, Web API and VB6 (only for the sake of converting to .Net) are a plus.
