Villa Marie School near Waverly is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher. Responsibilities include providing small-group and individualized instruction to students with developmental disabilities in Reading, Writing, and Math. Other duties include teaching or co-teaching P.E., Social Studies, Computers, Transition, and assisting with other life skills and social skills classes, as well as creating and implementing individualized education plans, fostering a positive learning environment, and collaborating with parents and other staff members to ensure the success of each student. Applicants must be certified in Special Education or able to be certified with minimal effort. Villa Marie is a Catholic boarding school for special needs students ages 6 – 18, whose mission is to form the students spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, socially and physically in partnership with parents, and in harmony with specific gifts given by God to each student.
