\n Leadership:
\n
\n* Responsible for the overall management and operations of nursing
\n* Provides strategic direction and operational leadership for all initiatives and programs within scope of responsibility
\n* Promotes and enforces departmental compliance with general safety and infection control standards
\n* Ensures effective and efficient patient care
\n
\n Supervision/Management:
\n
\n* Plans, directs, coordinates, and supervises all of nursing.
\n* Provides direction in the development and management of personnel within responsible departments
\n* Evaluates and provides coaching to employees within scope of responsibility
\n* Continuously monitors patient and employee satisfaction
\n
\n Budget:
\n
\n* Oversees inpatient nursing units’ budget development, implementation, and compliance
\n
\n Liaison:
\n
\n* Serves as a liaison between staff, physicians, patients, and family members
\n
\n Reporting:
\n
\n* Prepares and presents operational and financial reports/projects as required
\n
\n Education:
\n
\n* Stay abreast of changes in healthcare and Nursing
\n
\n Regulation :
\n
\n* Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines
\n* Complies with applicable Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guideline/regulations/laws/statues
\n
\n Requirements:
\n
\n* Master’s Degree in Nursing or Health Administration; required
\n* Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Mississippi Board of Nursing; required
\n* Minimum of 5 years experience in a leadership role; required
\n * Extensive knowledge of Nursing; preferred
\n* Minimum of 3 years experience in a managerial/supervisory role; required
\n* Excellent organizational and communication (written and verbal) skills; required
\n* Working knowledge of budgeting, financial analysis, goal setting, and personnel management; preferred
\n* Working knowledge of computers and computer software (i.e. Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, etc.); required
\n* Interaction with a patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics; required
\n* Excellent interpersonal skills; required
