Job Description
Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A local educational organization is seeking a dependable Substitute Paraprofessional to provide classroom support to students across multiple grade levels. This position requires flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to assist educators in delivering instructional and behavioral support. Completion of state fingerprinting and background clearance is required.
Responsibilities:
Support teachers in implementing daily classroom activities and individualized instructional plans.
Provide one-on-one or small-group assistance to students requiring additional academic or behavioral support.
Supervise students during classroom sessions, transitions, and other school activities.
Assist in maintaining a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
Record observations, document progress, and communicate relevant information to supervising staff.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in education or child development preferred.
Prior experience in a school, childcare, or educational support setting encouraged.
Completion of required state fingerprinting and background check before assignment.
Excellent communication skills, patience, and adaptability in diverse classroom environments.
Ability to follow educator guidance and maintain confidentiality with student information.
