Join us to collaborate with industry leaders, leverage cutting-edge technology, and drive projects that matter. Let's build a brighter, more connected world together.

About This Role

IFS InfraSource is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Underground Superintendent to oversee the day-to-day operations of civil construction projects, including multiple-circuit duct bank work in large urban environments. Safety Compliance: Implement site-specific health and safety plans and ensure adherence to company safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and other regulatory requirements. Promote a culture of safety and ensure that all safety protocols are followed.

Communication & Coordination: Act as the liaison between owners, general contractors, subcontractors and vendors. Represent the company in project meetings, strategy discussions, and client interactions. Resolve work-related problems and ensure effective communication at all levels.

Quality Control & Reporting: Oversee the implementation of quality control programs and ensure that work meets the required standards. Prepare regular reports on project progress, costs, and scheduling.

Subcontractor & Vendor Management: Negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Ensure that all vendor and subcontractor payments are reviewed and processed in a timely manner.

Risk Management & Problem Solving: Identify potential risks to project timelines, budgets, and quality, and develop strategies to mitigate them. Address any issues related to construction methods, work procedures, or site conditions.

Documentation & Scheduling: Maintain accurate project records, including daily progress, change orders and all other documentation. Ensure that all project-related documents are up-to-date and easily accessible.

What You'll Bring

Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant civil construction experience, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory role. Extensive experience in civil duct bank work and underground utility installation.

Technical Knowledge: Strong technical understanding of underground utilities, site grading, earthworks, and construction methods. Familiarity with industry standards and codes.

Software Skills: Proficiency in construction software (e.g., HCSS, GPS equipment) and standard office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively present plans and updates to internal and external stakeholders.

Safety & Compliance: In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices. Demonstrated ability to enforce safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.

What You'll Get

Travel Requirements: Occasional travel within the region may be required.

Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience, along with benefits and opportunities for growth within the company.
