Job Title: Tax Manager

Salary: 130-150K+

Position Overview The Tax Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of tax compliance and planning for clients in various sectors including construction, real estate, affordable housing, and non-profit organizations. This role requires a strategic thinker who can provide expert tax advice, ensuring that our clients are compliant with federal and state tax regulations while optimizing their tax positions.
Key Responsibilities - Lead tax planning and compliance for a diverse client base including construction, real estate, and non-profit sectors.
- Review and prepare complex tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Provide tax guidance and strategies to clients, particularly in the areas of affordable housing and non-profit entities.
- Research tax issues and stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that may affect clients.
- Manage and mentor junior tax staff, providing training and support as needed.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure a comprehensive approach to tax strategies and implications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Active CPA or EA certification is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation and compliance, preferably in construction and real estate.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations and laws.
- Experience working with affordable housing and non-profit organizations is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
