Job Title: Tax Manager

Job Location: Newark, DE 

Salary: 130-150K+ 

Requirements: 5-8+ years of experience 

Position Overview
The Tax Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of tax compliance and planning for clients in various sectors including construction, real estate, affordable housing, and non-profit organizations. This role requires a strategic thinker who can provide expert tax advice, ensuring that our clients are compliant with federal and state tax regulations while optimizing their tax positions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead tax planning and compliance for a diverse client base including construction, real estate, and non-profit sectors.
• Review and prepare complex tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Provide tax guidance and strategies to clients, particularly in the areas of affordable housing and non-profit entities.
• Research tax issues and stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that may affect clients.
• Manage and mentor junior tax staff, providing training and support as needed.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure a comprehensive approach to tax strategies and implications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Active CPA or EA certification is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation and compliance, preferably in construction and real estate.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations and laws.
• Experience working with affordable housing and non-profit organizations is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
