We’re hiring a project-based skilled tax professional to help our clients file taxes more efficiently. Applicants should be strong communicators who can simplify complex tax information and provide excellent customer service. Applicant must be able to create income/expense statements and balance sheets. Applicant must be deadline-driven, motivated, and research-oriented. • Use all eligible tax benefits for the client
• Review each tax form to make sure everything is accurate and ensure tax compliance
• Submit tax returns on behalf of the client and communicate with tax authorities
• Analyze each client’s financial records, including their income statements and previous tax returns to calculate the amount of taxable income each client possesses
• Honor client privacy by keeping confidential documents safe and organized

Qualifications:

• Registered with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and has a valid Prepare Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient computer skills and experience with Microsoft Excel
• 5+ years of work experience in tax consulting at an accounting firm or consulting firm
• QuickBooks Certified Preferred
