Job Description

Luna Data Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Technical Project Manager for a long-term contract with the potential to be converted to full-time (i.e. C2H) worked onsite in Houston, TX . The primary mission of this role will be supporting the successful delivery of a new, scalable, and user-friendly web-based permitting system. This system will modernize the client's legacy platform, streamline the permitting process, and improve service delivery for users seeking licenses, permits, and inspections.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-impact digital transformation initiative that will enhance the quality and efficiency of public services.

**NOTE: YOU MUST CURRENTLY RESIDE IN THE HOUSTON, TX METROPOLITAN AREA AND BE WILLING TO WORK ONSITE 5 DAYS A WEEK TO BE CONSIDERED**

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Monitoring & Support

• Identify and flag project risks to project leads or stakeholders.
• Support the execution of risk mitigation strategies with guidance from senior staff.

2. Communication & Documentation

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation including meeting notes, schedules, and task lists.
• Communicate project updates to stakeholders in accordance with client's PMO guidelines.
• Serve as a reliable liaison to ensure consistent and responsive communication across teams.

3. Meeting Coordination

• Schedule and coordinate project meetings and recurring check-ins.
• Facilitate discussions, document decisions, and follow up on action items.

4. Financial & Task Tracking

• Assist in monitoring the project budget in collaboration with finance contacts.
• Track timelines, milestones, and task completion to ensure progress remains on schedule.

5. Team Collaboration

• Operate independently while working collaboratively with cross-functional departments.
• Provide ad-hoc support to stakeholders as needed to ensure timely project delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong analytical thinking and the ability to understand technical and strategic project objectives.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholders.
• Proven ability to self-manage, prioritize tasks, and adapt to evolving project requirements.
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, or similar).
• Experience in IT, permitting systems, or municipal technology projects is a plus.

Expected Deliverables

• Regular project status reports and milestone tracking dashboards.
• Documented meeting notes and action item logs.
• Task progress reports and budget tracking support documentation.

Working Assumptions

• The Technical Project Manager will follow the client's PMO Project Management Playbook.
• Access to necessary tools, systems, and resources will be provided.
• Project guidance and approvals will be facilitated by designated stakeholders.
• Deliverables will be reviewed regularly for alignment with project goals.
