Transport Engineer

Location: Remote (Anywhere in the US, Preferred work locations: Chicago Area, Dallas Area, Tulsa, Temple Terrace, Alpharetta GA)

Duration: 12+ Months

Office Hours: 8AM - 5PM

Targeted Years of Experience: 7-10 years

Base Pay Range

$65.00/hr - $70.00/hr

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed circuit engineering for network circuit augments/migrations. This includes developing all of the specifications required for installation and grooming of circuits.
• Work with Network Planning, RCAT and Local Operations to ensure migrations are not customer impacting and successful.
• Obtain appropriate management approvals for migrations issuing circuit orders and Kirke events, creating applicable designs in appropriate databases along with diagrams/ drawings as needed.
• Ensure that work meets all applicable engineering, financial, planning, and operational standards.
• Manage, input, and update central Network Inventory Database to reflect new builds, adds, and decommissions.

Must Have Skills

• Working knowledge for order creation and circuit engineering in PC, TCOMS, BGW, COMS, SNM, CCP.
• Submitting RMODs for circuit verifications.
• Submitting and tracking events in KIRKE.
• Working knowledge of EASR and LEC order interfaces.
• Working knowledge of Maintenance Tracker.
• Working knowledge of Canvas and applications within.

Desired Skills

• Network Topology.
• Proficient in Excel Google Sheets.
