Summary This role is a strategic role focusing on the safe operation of trucks and equipment providing support for employees and management with a focus on best practices, policies, and education. The role will be accountable for safety performance across multiple regions and will partner with local operations to support in documentation, training, and other aspects of safe operations. The position requires leadership through example, influence and direction of non-reporting employees, and driving a culture of safety. The role is responsible for the driver safety program including preventive measures, training, and workers comp management. The role will be responsible for compliance to state DOT regulations across the United States to ensure safety of drivers and local communities in which we operate. Will be responsible for ensuring the truck fleet operations are compliant to DOT regulations including monitoring safety ratings, driver qualification files, and documentation requirements. Key Responsibilities + Develop, lead and drive a Safety program including strategy with focus on culture and community. + Drive business transformation with focus on safe operations, implement and manage employee and contractor Safety program. + Serve as safety program subject matter expert, drive continuous improvement resulting in fewer incidents + Develop, lead, and supervise the company driver safety program including post-accident and post-injury investigations. Determine root cause analysis through investigations and develop root cause mitigation programs. Develop and measure safety metrics and partner with HR on Workers Comp Management. + Monitor and report Hours-of-Service regulations, ELD usage (electronic logbooks following driver max hour requirements), pre/post trip inspections and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) requirements + Advise for full compliance with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration)/DOT regulations in coordination with Company policies and To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
