• Location: Klamath Falls, Oregon (97601) – Southern Oregon healthcare jobs\n
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)\n
• Unit: PACU / Post-Anesthesia Care Unit / Day Surgery\n
• Duration: 13-week contract (Start: 11/18/2025 – End: 2/17/2026)\n
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week\n
• Shifts: 8, 10, or 12-hour day/evening shifts; variable start times; call required\n
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2100-$2250\n
• Charting: Epic EMR experience preferred\n
• Orientation: 1 week of unit-specific orientation\n

\n\nPACU RN Qualifications\n

\n
• Active and unencumbered RN license (Oregon RN license preferred for local candidates)\n
• Minimum 1 year of recent PACU nurse or critical care nursing experience\n
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)\n
• Proficiency in Phase 1 and Phase 2 post-anesthesia recovery\n
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry/cardiac monitor strips\n
• Experience with ventilator troubleshooting (in collaboration with RT)\n
• Strong teamwork and communication skills\n

\n\nPACU Nurse Responsibilities\n

\n
• Deliver high-quality post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical procedures (ENT, orthopedic, general surgery, gynecology, endoscopy, ophthalmology, dental, and more)\n
• Monitor and assess patients in both Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery settings\n
• Interpret cardiac monitor strips and respond promptly to changes in patient condition\n
• Troubleshoot ventilators as needed in conjunction with respiratory therapy\n
• Float between admitting, Phase 1, and Phase 2 recovery areas as required\n
• Participate in call rotation (every 10th or 11th weekend and scheduled weekday call)\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes\n
• Accurately document all care provided in Epic EMR\n
