UI Engineer (React / Typescript)

Optomi, in partnership with, a leading digital commerce provider, is seeking a UI Engineer for their Atlanta, GA office! This is a fully on-site opportunity being in office Monday-Friday. This person will join the team in modernizing a self-service checkout application for global markets in a React, Typescript, and AWS cloud environment.

Experience of the Right Candidate :

• 3+ years of professional experience with React and TypeScript
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP or AWS)
• Strong understanding of software development best practices in a micro frontend or distributed system architecture
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems
• Experience with end-to-end testing tools such as Cypress
• Experience working with RESTful APIs or similar integrations
• Background in retail, kiosk, or self-service solutions
• Familiarity with internationalization and localization in frontend development

Responsibilities of the Right Candidate:

• Develop and maintain cloud-enabled micro frontends using React and TypeScript
• Build new product features and interfaces to replace legacy components from a Windows-based system (C#, C++, WPF)
• Participate in the migration of services to the cloud (GCP preferred, AWS acceptable)
• Work closely with backend teams to integrate APIs effectively
• Contribute to a test-driven development environment and implement end-to-end testing (e.g., Cypress)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure localization and internationalization support for target markets
• Containerize and deploy applications using Docker and Kubernetes
• Support product expansion to new global markets with a focus on performance and scalability
