About the Role
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to handle daily outbound shipments, documentation, and system updates. You’ll work closely with warehouse and customer service teams to ensure accurate, on-time deliveries.
Status: Contract-to-Hire
Pay: $19.00/hr
Key Responsibilities
Prepare outbound shipments: pick tickets, packing slips, labels, and Bills of Lading (BOL)
Book carriers and create shipments in small-parcel/LTL systems (e.g., UPS/FedEx/third-party portals)
Perform accurate data entry in the WMS/ERP; reconcile orders and inventory moves
Verify counts, lot/serials, and packaging; stage and hand-off shipments to carriers
Maintain shipping records and filing per SOP; assist with cycle counts as needed
Follow all safety procedures and housekeeping standards
Requirements
Fluent in English (verbal and written)
Computer savvy with strong data entry accuracy
Comfortable using Wave Runners
Experience with shipping paperwork (labels, BOL), and carrier portals preferred
Familiarity with WMS/ERP and RF/handheld devices a plus
Ability to lift up to ~50 lbs and stand/walk for most of the shift
Reliable attendance; team-oriented with a sense of urgency
