Job Description
The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for handling multiple functions in the warehouse which includes planning, co-ordination, inventory control, high-lift, selection, receiving, loading and export containers assigned by manager or lead based on business needs.
(Front half ) Sunday - Tuesday 4pm start
(Back Half ) Wednesday - Saturday, 4:00 pm start
What you get to do - Accurately and efficiently coordinate work assignments for standard and export operations as needed
- Creating pick assignments for selectors on standard and export operations.
- Verify and correct Lot and date code issues per order. Communicate and correct date/lot issues working with the appropriate Sales Team.
- Consolidate and build export pallets to protect the product while optimizing the cube space in each container.
- Ensure all pallets are properly loaded into appropriate container or intermodal trailer.
- Communicate with warehouse leads/managers on all discrepancies or issues so they can be fixed in a timely manner.
- Safely, accurately, and efficiently perform job function determined by work assignment that may include one of the following: selecting orders, loading trucks, counting inventory, room management, chase picking (outs), general dock work (receiving, put away, restacking, lumping).
- Understand basic produce storage and handling requirements.
- Complete required paperwork for each job assignment in a timely manner.
- Operate equipment safely, follow safe work practices, maintain a safe work area, and adhere to food safety policies
What you bring - High School Diploma or equivalency
- Minimum 1 years of warehouse experience preferred
- Previous experience with PRIYA Warehouse Management System (WMS) preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Correctly identify product we sell
- Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and make sound decisions
- Ability to contribute within a Team environment
