Job Description

We're on a search for a welding supervisor for our client on 1st shift who is located in Milwaukee County. This person would oversee approx. 20 employees in the welding and fabrication departments. Someone who possesses hands on shop floor experience and knowledge with welding would be a perfect candidate to help assist with their new development of WPS and process documents! (MS office skills are a must)

Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage a team of welders, providing guidance, training, and support
• Oversee welding projects from start to finish, ensuring that timelines and budgets are adhered to
• Inspect welding work to ensure it meets industry standards and specifications
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of welding equipment, ensuring that it is in good working order and safe to use
• Maintain accurate records of welding projects, including work completed, materials used, and any issues encountered
• Work closely with other departments, such as engineering and quality assurance, to ensure that welding projects align with overall company goals and objectives

Qualifications :

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in welding and at least 2 years in a supervisory role

Required Skills :

• Strong leadership and the ability to motivate and inspire a team
• In-depth knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and equipment
• Familiarity with industry standards and codes
