About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief for its Division of Pulmonary, Allergy & Critical Care Medicine. The successful candidate will be a collaborative physician leader with a dynamic academic vision. This role involves strategic and operational guidance for a team of 32 faculty and APPs, three fellowship programs, and a significant NIH funding portfolio. The Chief will be responsible for enhancing clinical programs, educational curricula, and scholarly activities to maintain national standards of excellence. A key aspect of the position is fostering a collaborative environment to mentor and advance the tripartite mission of patient care, education, and research. Candidates must have board certification in Pulmonary Medicine and at least one specialty area, as well as qualifications for an Associate Professor appointment at the company. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing outstanding patient care, a strong desire to improve healthcare systems, and the ability to lead within a team setting. The role requires a leader who can continue the Division's growth and development, particularly in the context of a new, state-of-the-art medical intensive care unit. The Chief will play a pivotal role in the Division's evolution into a nationally leading program and will contribute to the company's mission as a comprehensive university health system.
