Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Position

Provide essential care and support as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) within a K-12 educational setting in New London, CT. This contract role is designed to serve the unique needs of a 6th grade student requiring dedicated healthcare assistance during the school year.

Qualifications:

• Current Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification is required
• Experience working with pediatric or adolescent populations preferred
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and follow healthcare protocols in a school environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with school staff and families

Job Details:

• Position Type: Contract, CSY (Contract School Year)
• Location: New London, CT
• Hours: 15 hours per week
• Schedule: 5 days per week aligned with the school calendar
• Caseload: Provide care for one 6th grade student

Responsibilities:

• Assist the student with daily healthcare needs and personal care as outlined in their care plan
• Monitor and document health status, reporting changes to school nurses and healthcare providers
• Ensure the students comfort and safety during the school day
• Support coordination between school staff, families, and healthcare professionals to promote the students well-being and educational success
