Job Description

  Our client is seeking a Field Service Technician to join their team. As a Field Service Technician. The ideal candidate will have mechanical, electrical and some compressor experience which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Field Service Technician

Location: Atlanta, GA 

Pay Range: $41,600-$62,400/ annually

 

What’s the Job?

  • Routine Maintenance: Performing inspections,  fluid changes, filter replacements , and lubrication to extend equipment lifespan and minimize breakdowns.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnosing equipment issues, malfunctions, and failures using diagnostic tools, manuals, and expertise, then implementing effective repair solutions. This includes working on various systems like hydraulics, electrical, mechanical, and compressed air systems.
  • Testing and Inspections: Conducting comprehensive tests and inspections to ensure equipment meets safety standards and operational requirements, verifying the proper functioning of controls, systems, and components.
  • Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work performed, parts used, and labor hours, and completing service reports and work orders promptly and accurately.
  • Parts Coordination: Collaborating with the Parts Department to identify, order, and receive required parts and components for equipment repairs, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring an adequate supply of critical parts.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhering to all safety protocols, regulations, and company policies while working on equipment.
  • Training and Development: Attending training classes to stay updated on industry trends and advancements. 

 

What’s Needed?

  • Fluid Power Knowledge : A solid understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic principles, including pumps, valves, cylinders, and control systems, is essential.
  • Mechanical Aptitude : The ability to understand and analyze mechanical systems is critical for troubleshooting and repair.
  • Analytical Skills : Technicians should possess an analytical mindset to effectively diagnose problems and develop solutions.
  • Blueprint and Schematic Interpretation : The ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, datasheets, manuals, drawings, blueprints, and engineering sketches is important for this role.
  • Troubleshooting Expertise : Proven ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex equipment issues.
  • Safety Focus: Commitment to following safety protocols and regulations.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication for interacting with customers, engineers, and team members.
  • Problem-Solving : The ability to identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues.
  • Computer Literacy: Basic computer skills for tasks like record keeping and potentially using specialized diagnostic software.
