About the Role

We are looking for an ambitious, curious Financial Analyst to join the finance team supporting the a business unit of a growing organization in the logistics and transportation industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with divisional leaders, providing key financial insights to optimize operations and drive profitability within the Division.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, balancing analytical tasks with collaborative efforts to support the financial goals of the division.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with Division leadership to develop financial forecasts, budgets, and monthly performance reports.
• Conduct profitability and cost analyses across marine operations to identify trends, inefficiencies, and growth opportunities.
• Monitor and report on key financial metrics, such as operating expenses, revenue growth, and gross margin performance.
• Assist in preparing detailed financial models and scenario analyses to evaluate capital investments and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with operations teams to analyze and track project costs, helping to ensure alignment with financial targets.
• Support month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses.
• Prepare presentations and reports summarizing financial insights for divisional and corporate leadership.
• Contribute to ad-hoc projects and analyses as needed to support divisional priorities and strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis, business finance, or related roles.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling (experience with ERP systems and data visualization tools is a plus).
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights and recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial findings to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
