Music and Worship Arts Program Coordinator Are you a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with a passion for supporting music, worship, and arts ministries? Alfred Street Baptist Church, one of the nation's most historic and vibrant churches, is seeking a Music and Worship Arts Program Coordinator to join our dynamic team! In this exciting role, you will work closely with our Music and Worship Arts Director to oversee the smooth operations of rehearsals, events, productions, and administrative activities across our thriving ministry; including choirs, orchestras, handbell groups, and drama and dance ministries. This position offers the opportunity to combine your skills in administration, event planning, and program coordination in a supportive, faith-based environment where excellence in worship and arts is celebrated. What You’ll Do: Manage the daily and long-term schedule for the Music and Worship Arts Director, including appointments, travel, and event logistics. Provide administrative support to leadership, prepare reports and correspondence, and ensure seamless office operations. Coordinate all logistical aspects of rehearsals, productions, concerts, workshops, and special events. Track budgets, process invoices, reconcile expenses, and manage vendor relationships. Supervise administrative staff and oversee workflow efficiency within the department. Maintain ministry calendars, track member participation, and coordinate travel for local and offsite ministry events. Organize contracts, service agreements, and procurement of supplies, materials, and vestments. Serve as a key liaison between internal staff, volunteers, contractors, and external partners. What We’re Looking For: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5–7 years of administrative experience, including at least 2 years supporting a senior leader. 3–5 years of experience in program coordination, event planning, or volunteer management. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint) and database systems. Exceptional organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Professional, courteous demeanor and the ability to build positive relationships with a diverse group of people. Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and travel for ministry events. Experience in a church or nonprofit environment is highly desirable. Work Schedule: Standard hours: Tuesday – Friday, 9 AM – 7 PM (10-hour shifts) Flexibility required for evening rehearsals, weekend events, and major productions (e.g., Christmas concerts, special services) Why Join Us?
