Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic Technical Project Manager & Scrum Master to lead the enhancement of a newly launched app for a healthcare client. This role combines the responsibilities of a Scrum Master and a Project Manager to execute the product roadmap defined by the client and Capillary product teams. The ideal candidate will facilitate Agile ceremonies, ensure team efficiency, and collaborate closely with engineering teams, cross-functional teams, and clients to drive project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Scrum Master Responsibilities: Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Guide the engineering team on Agile principles and ensure adherence to Scrum practices. Remove impediments and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Protect the team from distractions and maintain focus on sprint goals. Track sprint progress using Agile tools like Jira, ensuring visibility of sprint metrics and team performance.
  2. Technical Project Management Responsibilities: Work closely with engineering and implementation teams to determine optimal technical solutions and establish execution schedules. Lead technical design/architecture discussions, resolve trade-offs, and ensure high code quality and prioritization. Develop and manage complex release schedules involving cross-functional teams and interconnected systems. Monitor project milestones, risks, and interdependencies, providing regular updates to stakeholders. Represent the project in key forums and decision-making discussions (e.g., UAT reviews, release notes, status meetings).
  3. Cross-functional Collaboration & Client Management: Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including solutions, delivery, and customer success teams. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align on project objectives and roadmaps. Prioritize and manage day-to-day client-related tasks for key accounts, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction.
  4. Process Improvement & Leadership: Recommend and implement improvements in Agile processes, project management, and launch readiness. Lead by example, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment. Support the sales team in defining the scope of work for new clients and projects.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (e.g., BE/BTech).
  • Professional Experience: 8-10 years of experience in the software industry, preferably in product development or software services.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master and/or Project Manager.
  • Prior software development experience is essential, with the ability to understand code/design/architecture and support developers.
  • Skills & Knowledge: Deep understanding of Agile principles, Scrum practices, and software development methodologies like Kanban.
  • Proficient in Agile tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to translate business/product requirements into actionable tasks for development teams.
  • Certifications & Domain Expertise: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent is preferred.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is a bonus.
  • Experience in healthcare, retail, digital, eCommerce, CRM, or loyalty analytics is advantageous.
