\n\nER RN Qualifications and Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active Compact or Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) license\n
  • Minimum 2 years of recent emergency room nursing experience\n
  • At least 1 prior travel nurse assignment required\n
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS\n
  • Proficiency with Cerner electronic charting system\n
  • Skills in conscious sedation, telemetry, triage, and ventilator management\n
  • Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)\n
  • Two supervisor references required\n
  • Willingness to work holidays and weekends\n
\n\nKey Responsibilities – Emergency Room Nurse\n
    \n
  • Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients\n
  • Perform triage, patient assessment, and rapid interventions for cardiac, respiratory, stroke/neuro, orthopedic, oncology, GI/GU, and trauma cases\n
  • Administer emergency medications and manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure\n
  • Obtain and interpret 12-lead EKG/ECG\n
  • Start and maintain IVs, perform phlebotomy, and monitor ventilated patients\n
  • Assist with special procedures: conscious sedation, chest tubes, arterial lines, joint reductions, splinting, and rapid sequence intubation\n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams\n
  • Utilize advanced ER equipment: rapid infusers, GE monitors, Alaris IV pumps, Zoll defibrillators, and more\n
