Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Worker to join our team! This position is responsible for ensuring that all incoming and outgoing shipments are correctly processed, documented, and tracked. In addition, the Warehouse Associate will inspect the products for damages and document properly, as well as play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods within the warehouse.

Responsibilities:

• Follow appropriate safety procedures for handling products, dangerous goods, as well as temperature controlled goods.
• Handle freight in an efficient and safe manner and in accordance with established processes and procedures.
• Obtain receipts or signatures for inbound shipments.
• Check all load-related documentation to make sure that it is complete and accurate.
• Load and unload trucks, or help others with loading and unloading, operating any special loading-related equipment on vehicles using other equipment as necessary.
• Climb ladders to inspect loads, ensuring that cargo is secure.
• Secure cargo for transport using load locks, dunnage bags, ropes, blocks, chains, etc.
• Flexibility - understands established hours of operation and assigned shifts are subject to change based on business needs.
• Adheres to inventory controls in accordance with established procedures.
• Receiving and signing for deliveries,
• Follow special cargo-related procedures, like checking refrigeration systems and temperature for frozen or refrigerated goods .
• Inventory and inspect goods to be moved to define quantities, conditions, damage must be noted and photographed.
• Organizing and storing received items in appropriate areas.
• Maintaining records of orders and delivery details.
• Preserves a safe and clean work environment by keeping all areas organized and free of clutter and debris.
• Remove debris from loaded and unloaded trailers.
• Adheres to all established policies and procedures.
• Completes all paperwork and reports with 100% accuracy.
• Contributes to all team efforts.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two (2) years' Warehouse experience, required.
• Reliable transportation.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and paperwork management skills with superb attention to detail.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• At least two (2) years' experience as a sit-down forklift operator, preferred. Valid forklift certification preferred but not required.
• Ability to work Thursday through Monday with Tuesday & Wednesday off. Shift :10am to 7pm during the weekday and 9am - 5 pm on Saturday & Sunday with the ability to work overtime as needed.
• Clean background.
• Able to follow quality service standards and procedures.
• Safety-conscious with the ability to work independently.
• Must be alert and able to quickly squat, twist, and bend on a continuous basis.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and carry or lift items up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to thrive in a team environment.
• Interact with customers in a professional manner.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
