Description

SUMMARY:

As an Architectural Drafter Embark Intern, the student will be responsible for drafting architectural documents for new construction projects or alterations and repair projects to existing attractions exhibit buildings, under the Architectural Designer's direction. This position will allow one to impact others through a service mindset centered on making an eternal difference. This position should display our Core Values of SERVE (Serve, Equip, Relate, Value, Engage) when interfacing with both internal and external customers to ensure that the message and mission of Answers in Genesis is portrayed in an effective and God-honoring fashion. This position provides opportunities for spiritual, personal, and professional development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Produce CAD drafting plans.
2. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure accuracy on all stages of projects.
3. Perform site visits to coordinate architectural details as needed.
4. Promote the mission and standards of Answers in Genesis.
5. Create a SERVE culture environment in all work done.
6. Approach all tasks with a second mile mindset.
7. Prioritize personal integrity in all interactions and assignments.
8. Participate in life skills development courses provided for Embark Interns.
9. And all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

1. Able to produce, read and interpret various types of blueprints.
2. Able to create hand-made sketches from conceptual to finish stages of project.
3. Minimum 1 year of experience on current version of Autocad, experience in Revit is a plus.
4. Detail oriented.
5. Experience working with Windows environment.
6. Able to stay calm under pressure.
7. Able to work with team members.
8. Very organized with a good level of communication.
9. Work as a team member with the ministry's objective
10. Able to multitask.
11. Mission focused and driven.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

1. Must have a minimum of 45 College Credits.
2. Must be currently pursuing a degree.
