We are seeking a motivated Junior Project Manager with strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of project management principles. The ideal candidate will have experience with Microsoft Project and will assist in the planning, execution, and delivery of projects within the oil and gas sector. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in Project Planning: Support the Senior Project Manager in developing detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies using MS Project.
- Project Execution: Coordinate project tasks, ensuring all project activities are completed on time and within scope. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Track project progress using MS Project, prepare regular status reports, and present updates to stakeholders. Identify and escalate any issues or delays to the Senior Project Manager.
- Budget Management: Assist in monitoring project budgets, ensuring costs are tracked accurately, and variances are addressed promptly.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Communication: Serve as a key point of contact for project-related communication, facilitating collaboration between internal teams, contractors, and clients.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and are aligned with client expectations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in project management in the oil and gas industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Project is required. Familiarity with other project management tools and software is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Team Player: Willingness to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
